Quarter-Sawn White Oak Display Case
This mission display case will match Roseann's mission sofa and end tables.
I used the same finish as her other mission furniture.
- lockwood american walnut water-based dye mixed 1 lb. in 8 gals.
- 1.5# blonde shellac (sealcoat) sanded lightly with 400
- varathane mission brown oil-based stain as a glaze
- 2 wiped on coats of waterlox original sealer/finish
- 2 wiped on coats of a 50/50 mixture of waterlox sealer/finish and satin |

| This was the tallest project I have ever done and the garage door barely cleared it when opened. |
 |
| All of the shelves are solid wood except for the bottom one. Wood movement would have been a problem since it's part of the base. |
 |
| The quarter-sawn white oak I used on this project really had some nice rays. |
 |
| Here it is in Roseann's house. |
