Contractor Saw Outfeed Table

An outfeed table for my Jet contractor saw has been on my shop project list for a while. Sunday of Memorial Day weekend was rainy, so I decided to finally get this going. No more moving around roller stands and having boards falling to the floor.

I used 3/4" melamine for the table and trimmed it with rift-sawn red oak for added stability. I routed the rectangle to give the motor some clearance when tilting the blade at 45 degrees.
The table is 40" wide by 42" long. This gives me 50" of support from the back of the blade.
I made 1" dados to give clearance for the miter slots.
When the table is folded down, it only adds a couple of inches to the depth of the saw.
I used angle aluminum to mount the table to the saw. I adjusted the table 1/16 of an inch lower than the saw's table.
Here is a shot of the brackets used to attach the aluminum to the saw. The existing bolts were used to attach the fence, so no drilling was needed.
