This is the second potty chair I've built for
my nephews. The first one I built is down
the page. This is made out of red oak with
a walnut football inlay. |

This doll cradle I built out of maple as a Christmas
present for my niece Abby. The inlay and plugs
are purpleheart and the finish
is blonde shellac. |

The quarter-sawn sycamore and purpleheart bandsaw
box (left) is a christmas gift for Susie's Mom.
It
was finished with blonde shellac and a clear
wax.
The cherry
box is for Susie to use in our travel trailer.
It was finished using orange shellac and a dark
brown wax. |

win the Super Bowl. They wanted $300 for a junk
plastic and glass stand, so I built one myself.

This walnut plant stand was made
as a house warming gift for Susie's sister and husband.
This is the first project I built that will be shipped.
It is air-dried walnut with a couple coats of garnet
shellac and topcoated with Waterlox. |

This walnut mirror was made for Susie's Mom for
Christmas. It was finished with Waterlox rubbed
out with steel wool and wax. |

Grandma. It is made out of alder, colored with mahogany
dye, and finished with Waterlox rubbed out with steel
wool and wax. |

I
think Ii started on this in the spring and did
a little here and there. These are really fun to
make except
for all the sanding. It is air-dried walnut with
QS sycamore pulls and finished with lemon shellac.
This was my first time padding on shellac and boy
is this smooth, but I still need a lot of practice
with shellac. |

This mirror was built for an American Cancer Society Relay
For Life silent auction. My Mother passed away
in 2002 from Multiple
Myeloma cancer. I am a cancer survivor of 33 years
(since age 3) of a Wilms'
Tumor. The mirror is built out of air-dried walnut
and finished with Waterlox original.

I built two of these patriotic planters boxes
using plans from plansnow.com out
of cypress. Susie painted them and filled one with
sun plants and the other with shade plants.

2005
Susie saw a kitchen organizer in a JCPenney catalog
that she really liked. I told I would build it for
her, but it wasn't going to be painted red like the
catalog. I used soft maple and cherry with a danish
oil finish. |

made this coffee grinder out of air-dried walnut
and finished with three coats of lemon shellac. I
got the hardware from Hartville

mirror I made out of quarter-sawn red oak for my
sister Jami for her new apartment. It has two coats
of orange shellac with one coat of Waterlox on top
of that. |

mirror I made for my sister Paula and Mike as a baby
gift for their first child, Jacob Lesley. It is rift-sawn
red oak with a danish oil finish and matches the
furniture they bought for the baby room. |

This
raised feeder I made for our two dogs, Duncan
& Bailey. It is made out of soft maple and
colored with water-based aniline dye. I used Sherwin
Williams fast-dry varnish to finish it. |

This
mirror I made to hang above the cherry hall table
I built. This is made out of chokecherry, which is
definitely heavier than cherry. I flooded on BLO
and wiped off after 15 minutes. After it dried, I
put on several coats of orange shellac. If you click
on the picture, you'll see the chokecherry has a
bit of figure. |
