Quarter-sawn white oak, purpleheart, and walnut table

I've been wanting to attempt a multi-wood table top and finally tried one out. The top turned out pretty good so I decided to build some legs and aprons and turn it into a table.

The top is made out of shop-sawn white oak veneer glued to a MDF substrate. This is necessary so seasonal wood movement doesn't crack the solid wood mitered frame.
The frame is walnut with purpleheart inlay. I took my time to sneak up on the fit and was pleased with how tight the miters turned out.
The legs and aprons are attached using mortise and tenon joinery.
Here are the legs and aprons glued and clamped.
I applied 2 coats of shellac as a sealer then wiped on several coats of Waterlox original tung oil finish. The finish really brings out the ray fleck of the quarter-sawn white oak and gives nice depth to the walnut.
The legs have a nice taper to them.
Another view of the top.
